The four KTH campuses in the region jointly gather more than
12,000 full-time students and around 2,000 doctoral students.
KTH has developed into one of Europe’s leading technical universities and an important knowledge development arena since its inception in 1827. As Sweden’s biggest university for technical research and education, KTH gathers students, researchers and faculties from all over the world. KTH works with the business community and society on sustainable solutions to some of the greatest challenges faced by humanity: climate change, future energy supply, urbanisation and quality of life for a rapidly growing, ageing population.
